Scope and Content

As an engine of war the tank fully justified itself on every occasion when it was brought into use. In destroying machine-gun posts and leading infantry attack they were pre-eminently successful, and at all times they were a terror to the Germans. The picture shows a ‘park’ of tanks just behind the British lines.
