Scope and Content

An Italian fort on the snow-capped peaks of Mount Adamello. The stupendous difficulties that had to be overcome by the Italian army were but little understood in Britain. Infantry and artillery were firmly entrenched on mountain fastnesses formerly known only to the intrepid alpinist.
