The file contains the handwritten MS of the poem collection ‘Small dreams of a scorpion’, as well as separate MS fragments relating to it, TS and photocopied MS copies of some of the poems, and illustrations from the book. Contained in a box file with an original handwritten label by Milligan: ‘ORIGINAL | MS | COPIES | SMALL DREAMS | OF A SCORPION | + | DRAWINGS – OK | I’ve taken one of | girl touching the | floor | SMALL | DREAMS | ORIGINAL | MS | + | DRAWINGS’. Written underneath this on the folder itself: ‘Complete. | Mar. 1981’. The papers were originally hled in a plastic folder within the box file, but this has since disintegrated.
