Richter was an Austro-Hungarian conductor, and was friends with the Brodskys. The back of the mount for the picture contains details of the London Stereoscopic Company, photographer to Her Majesty, Queen Victoria. Their address is 106 Regent Street, W, and 54 Cheapside, E6.
