Monmouth, recording the surrender, subject to redemption on payment of £2000, by John Carter, wine merchant, George Carter, gent., Charles Carter, wine merchant, and Alfred Thomas Bridger [sic] Carter, grocer, all of the parish of Clifton in the city of Bristol, by james George Hobbs of Broad Street in the city of Bristol, gent., their attorney, of four eighth parts of the properties specified in no. 36, to the use of James Prosser of Portishead, co. Somerset, gent.
