Estreat from the court roll of the lordship of Caerwent, recording the surrender by Morris Lewis of the parish of Christchurch, co. Monmouth, gent., youngest son of David Lewis late of Lanmellin, gent., and Elizabeth, his wife, both deceased, of a messuage or dwelling-house, etc., and 38 acres of land in Llanmellin, Penhence, and Cribbae, to the use of William Lewis of Bergavenny, gent., eldest son of the said David and Elizabeth, and Elizabeth, wife of the said William, and William Lewis of Bergavenny, gent., son and heir of the said William Lewis.
