Administrative / Biographical History

John Cameron worked as Education Officer, Makerere College, Uganda, 1947, then in Tanganyika as Education Officer, Bigwa, Kidugala and Pasiainsi/Butimba Teacher Training Centres, 1948-1953. He remained in Tanganyika as Education Officer and Senior Education Officer, Mpwapwa Teacher Training Centre, 1953-1957, Senior Executive Officer, Southern Highlands and Tanga, 1958-1960, Acting Assistant Director of Education (African), 1960, Assistant Chief Education Officer, (non-African), 1961-1962, and Assistant Chief Education Officer (Administration and General), 1963-1964.
