Peter Stringer worked in Tanganyika as a Missionary Teacher (Universities' Mission to Central Africa), St. Andrew's College, Minaki, 1954-1958, and as Principal, St. Andrew's Teacher Training College at Mpwapwa, later at Korogwe, 1959-1963.
