First rule orders that the school-master be a Master of Arts and of the University of Oxford and a single man who was only to marry with the consent of the Bishop of Bangor and the major part of the feoffees
Orders and rules established, 30 September 1624 by the feoffees of the Free Grammar School of Beaumaris, founded by David Hughes, for the better government of the school-master and usher and teaching of the scholars there
