Scope and Content

Letter relating to provision of news of brethren and brethren assemblies, with reference to [Barnes?], who is no longer in fellowship with the brethren in Chicago, to [George V.] Wigram’s return to Europe, and to a potential visit by Darby to San Francisco. Also included is reference to an unknown letter from [J.G.D?], to activity in Ione City, [California], and discussion of the interpretation of scripture. There is also discussion of a dispute between Fletcher and [F.W. French?], divisions within the assembly, and reference to a visit from G. [Biss?], from Auckland, New Zealand. Letter written from San Francisco to Chicago.

The envelope includes the additional inscription: ‘R Grant’. Also included is a handwritten note [By John Nelson Darby?] which reads ‘answered’.
