Correspondence and memoranda concerning the publicity of transport services, stations and lines. Subjects include the use of apostrophes in station names and signs, fares, educating the public on the use of tube railways, alterations to routes, bus stop panels, the appearance of stations, notices on smoking in buses, drinks dispensing machines,the Railway Advertising Association conference in June 1957, a propaganda bus in Berlin. Also includes two photographs of a German bus, a sample information poster, the Summer 1956 issue of newsletter entitled 'Country Bus News' and an outsize plan of the British Transport recruiting exhibit at the 1957/1958 Schoolboys' Own Exhibition.
