Bound volume containing papers, manuscript notes, drafts, copy correspondence and fair copy memoranda relating to Poplar Almshouse and Fund, in particular the consecration of the chapel and burial ground at Poplar, the administration and history of the Fund, and lists of subscribers and pensioners in 1832/3. It includes manuscript notes, drafts, copy correspondence, copy reports, statements and memoranda, copy accounts, extracts from minutes of the Committee of Shipping, draft and printed regulations, and a small number of original letters.
The volume also contains a small quantity of eighteenth-century documents relating to church matters in Poplar, including a list of papist recusants in Poplar, dated 1745.
