Papers and notebooks of John Weatherill of Rievaulx (1881-1960), stonemason, whose work includes a study of the stone used in the building with notes on means of transport and a new study of the diversions of the River Rye in the 12th century; and 'The eighteenth century Rievaulx Bridge and its mediaeval predecessor', published posthumously in Yorkshire Archaeological Journal, vol 41 (1964), pp. 71-80.
