COPY WILL: Hugh Howell, clerk, rector of the parishes of Llanfyrnach and Penrith with Castellan, Pembrokeshire, made at the Rectory at Llanfyrnach. Bequeaths as follows:-
To my son, Thomas James Howell, my double barrel gun.
To my second son, Hugh William Howell, my gold watch.
To my third son, Bruce knight Howell, my carbuncle ring.
My real and personal estates to be sold on my death. After payment of my debts, the proceeds to be put out to lawful interest for my wife, Margaret Howell, for her lifetime. On her decease, a moiety of the said proceeds to be equally shared amongst my said sons and the other moiety to be divided equally amongst my three daughters, Margaret Sarah Collingwood Howell, Joan Eliza Howell and Frances Anna Louisa Howell, all of Llanfyrnach Rectory.
I appoint Thomas Morgan of Cardigan, solicitor and my second son, Hugh William Howell of Llanfyrnach Rectory, solicitor, as my executors.
Testator died on 22 January 1876 at Llanfyrnach Rectory.
Proved at Carmarthen on 22 May 1876.
