Scope and Content

COPY WILL: Reverend Hector Davies Morgan of Castle Heddingham, Essex, clerk.

Bequeaths as follows:- To my son, Thomas Morgan of the town of Cardigan, all my real estates in Carmarthenshire and Cardiganshire, except my real estates in the parish of Saint Mary's in Cardigan, upon trust to allow my wife, Frances Morgan, to receive the rents during her lifetime. I direct my wife to allow my three children, James Davies Morgan, Maria Elizabeth Morgan and Anna Susannah Sophia Morgan, part of the said rents for their maintenance and support, but not exceeding one quarter per child of the rents received.

On the death of my wife, my son Thomas Morgan to pay £4000 each to my above named children and to receive the said estates. To my son Thomas Morgan all the plate given me by the Trustees of the Savings Bank. The residue of my plate to my wife during her lifetime and on her death to my daughters, Maria Elizabeth Morgan and Anna Susannah Sophia Morgan in equal shares. To my said daughters, 2 homes in the New Road in Middlesex, which I hold under the Skinners Company. I appoint Thomas Morgan as Sole Executor.

Proved at London on 3 July 1851.
