Correspondence from J. H. Canning to Sir Joseph Bradney, found inside a published volume of Abergavenny Catholic Registers 1740-1838. Letter, dated 29 July 1923, at Newport, written in Latin, thanking Bradney for correspondence, followed by a discussion of Mathew Prichard, Episcopus Mirinensis, 1669-1750, ending with personal details of a family visit. Folded with this letter is a rough pedigree of the Wynn family of Cherry Orchard, apparently in the handwriting of Sir Joseph Bradney. Letter, dated 2 September 1929, at Newport, written in Latin, thanking Bradney for his encouragement and assistance in producing a book, and hopes that he will accept a copy as a gift.
