Scope and Content

Small ring-binder containing extracts from the publications of the Catholic Record Society. Canning has noted the original source and the appropriate numbers of the Catholic Record Society volumes. The first part of the material consists of historical notes (some in Latin) on various Catholic families, priests in England and Wales, 1692, Catholic marriages in penal times, and extracts from the Catholic registers of Worcester, relating to the following families: p.16 Addis; p. 19 Barford and Burford; p. 20 Barrett, Beaumont; p. 21 Billington, Blount, Bond; p. 22 Durieux, Gough; p. 23 Kane, Kemble; p. 25 Pritchard (or Pritchett); p. 27 Pye, Sharrock, Scudamore, Wakeman; p. 28 Weetman; p. 29 Williams; p. 30 Gainsford, Thomas Morgan, Stanfield. The remainder of the extracts, taken from the Catholic Record Society's vol. XII, comprise a list of obituaries, 1723-1838.
