Scope and Content

1 William Thomas of p. Mydrim co. Carm., gent. 2 William Bevan of Glasvrin, gent. Mortgage for £400 of the m's and lands called Clyn Gwynn, p. Mydrim, and Hêndre, p. Llanvihangell Aber Cowin. Endorsed are: a Memorandum, 1715, June 23, that this indenture was produced in an examination in a cause between William Bevan, Elizabeth Bevan, infant, and John Powell and the other creditors of William Bevan, gent., dec., plaintiffs, and Rice Thomas, esq., Samuel Thomas and William Thomas, gent's, in the high court of Chancery; an Agreement, 1733, June 21, by Wllliam Bevan of Glasvryn, gent., son and heir of the above-named William Bevan, dec., with the said William Thomas that the said properties shall be a security for £400 due by bond. Witnesses: W[illia]m Thomas, cler[k], Carmarthen, and Meth[usalem] Bowen; an Agreement, 1740, Sept. 30, by William Bevan with Ann Thomas, widow and administratrix of the said William Thomas, that the said properties shall be a security for £167.10.0 and £109.10.0 due by bonds; and an. Agreement, 1744, Aug. 30, by John Morgan, esq., and Anne his wife, administratrix of the said William Thomas, with William Bevan to reconvey the said properties. [Reference to Esther Thomas and Anna Posthuma Thomas, infants, only issue of the said William Thomas and Anne.] [Witnesses include Rice Gwynn, Cardigan.].
