Typed notes by W.R. Brock, regarding papers of John Forsyth, 1818-37. Papers are held by Duke University Library. Brock only has the following to say about the papers;
Letters ans accounts of John forsyth, a Scot and Statesville merhcant. One letter, 1837, from Thomas Reid, an uncle who lived in Aberdeen; A good desciption of Aberdeen and an account of the 1832 reform bill. [S.d.]
