Typed notes by W.R. Brock, regarding the correspondence of John Campbell, 1827. Papers are held by the Virginia historical society. Brock only has the following to say about the correspondence;
John Campbell was a counsellor at law in Westmoreland County, Virginia. In 1827 he received three letters from David Wardlaw, an Edinburgh solicitor, informing him of the death of his nephew Frederick Campbell Stewart, and of the sale of the Campbell family estate on the Isle of Man. [S.d.]
