Teaching and related materials

This subfonds comprises items chiefly relating to Hill's teaching at the Universities of Leeds, Cambridge and Boston. As such, it includes the texts of lectures and lecture notes; but also includes items collected by Hill, including articles and press clippings, used in research towards lectures or kept for his general interest; and some papers relating to critical writings and major lectures.

This subfonds is arranged into the following series: Teaching and Related Materials (General) Teaching and Related Materials (Leeds) Shakespeare Lectures and Seminars Teaching and Related Materials (Boston).

Access to this part of the collection is restricted under the Data Protection Act. You will need to complete a restricted access form and return it to Special Collections for review by staff before access can be granted.

Digital photography is strictly prohibited. Photocopying is restricted and the photocopying of correspondence is prohibited. Enquiries relating to the photocopying of material should be addressed to the Head of Special Collections at Leeds University Library in the first instance. Direct quotation from manuscripts by Geoffrey Hill is permitted in unpublished PhD theses. The permission of the copyright holder must be sought for the use of quotations from manuscripts by Geoffrey Hill for works intended for publication.
