Scope and Content

Correspondence and papers of William Waugh, relating to research into Charnley’s association with King Edward VII Hospital, Midhurst, with requests for information and reminiscences from Charnley’s colleagues, and correspondence regarding discussion of a small number of patients. There is reference to comments on drafts of the chapters of the biography on Charnley’s time at Midhurst, notes by Waugh and interview summaries from a visit to the hospital. There is a summary of the number of operations carried out by Charnley, 1969 – 1975.
