He sets out various arguments, including the financial and practical one of marrying before moving to Cambridge Festival Theatre [where they had both been offered parts by Tyrone Guthrie]. He assures his parents that they intend to delay starting a family, and notes that he is enclosing a sketch of Ella's ring (not included here).
