i. 26 January 1818 - Edinburgh - (To Hunneman.) Acknowledges box of valuable plants from Berlin. Seeds from N. America and the West Indies. Mr. Herriman just arrived in Edinburgh. Publications. Seeds of melons and peaches.

ii. 14 March 1818 - Edinburgh - (To Hunneman.) Seeds from Moscow. Notes those of use to the Garden. Strelitzia. Parcel delivered to the Wernerian Society.

iii. 21 December 1818 - Edinburgh - (To Hunneman.) Butter. Parcel for Mr. Tranton (?). Seeds from East Indies and Cape of Good Hope. Seed of Calceolaria fothergillii for Mr. Otto.

iv. 14 April 1819 - Edinburgh - (To Hunneman.) Box of pine plants including a letter from Mr. Henderson. Greville pine from Mr. Shepherd. Asks J.H. to purchase side of bacon for his wife, paid out of money for pine plants. Is expecting seeds from America.

v. 5 June 1819 - Edinburgh - (To Hunneman.) Plants from Calcutta - in excellent condition. Will write to Dr. Wallich. Euryale ferox and hopes to send seeds, wonders if it is different from Strelitzia augusta. Asks for information on Jacquin's figure of Urania speciosa and sends a strong plant and seeds. Lapland seeds have yielded Pedicullares septuissi Carolinum, Primula striata, Saxifraga rivularis and stellata, Dryas octopetala and some Gramineae.
