This series of letter focuses on the editing carried out by Cornish on a number of tracts concerned with Owen's ideas and beliefs. The tracts were often based on previous articles/publications written by Owen and, as such, he was often asked to make amendments or alterations to the tracts prior to the final publication. The content of tracts often focussed on the relationship of Owen's theories and religion, with Cornish regularly intimating the need more a more practical and conciliatory approach from Owen, and indeed his followers, to those of a Christian persuasion.
