Alexander Campbell (1796-1870) was long associated with Socialism, Cooperation and Owenism. Schoolmaster of the boys at Orbiston. Imprisoned at the instance of some of the creditors at Orbiston as he was liable for some of the credit secured for the building of the foundry. Social Missionary of the ACoAC until 1842. Manager of Atkins.
