Memo from G. W. Brooks, Legal Department, dated 25 March 1980, to Dr L. Mullins, Annesley Site, 5pp; Memo from R. J. Lambert dated 22 April 1980, to Dr L. Mullins, Annesley Site, 6pp. Both memos detailed the history of the acquisition of the Annesley site after negotiations to secure a site in Milton Keynes broke down. The reasons for choosing Annesley are given. The site freehold of 567.565 acres was bought for £948,175 and was completed on 15 June 1977. Negotiations in 1974.
