Corporate

These records consist of the working papers of the BBC that relate to corporate governance and strategy and the main non-programme support functions such as legal, financial, personnel, and property. Records in this sub-fonds include minutes of official meetings, government liaison, press and publicity material, staff files and papers relating to the corporate management and administration of the BBC.

This sub-fonds is arranged into six sub-sub-fonds; Directors General, Governors and Chairmen, Boards and Committees, Legal, Personnel, and Copyright Contributors. The records are arranged by file series within each of these sub-sub-fonds. Some administrative record series are not part of one of the sub-sub-fonds. They are arranged directly under the sub-fonds.

Series that are directly related to the central, administrative activities of the BBC were previously grouped together under the title ‘Radio and Central’. The creation of a separate ‘Corporate’ sub-fonds better reflects the original provenance of the files.
