  • John Maynard (1820-1912) was born at Northlew in Devon. He was converted in about 1840 and entered the Bible Christian ministry in 1844. He exercised an active circuit ministry of thirty-one years until ill health forced his resignation. Maynard was readmitted to the ministry in 1897 as a supplementary minister at Greenbank Chapel in Plymouth. Source: Beckerlegge
