Scope and Content
Administrative / Biographical History
Town Planning was established as a part time course in 1962 and later became a full time undergraduate course in Town Planning awarded jointly with GSA and the Royal College of Science and Technology. Under the direction of Thomas Findlay Lyon, the course was independent from the Glasgow School of Architecture and was taught as one year full time, or two year part time. The course was transferred to the University of Strathclyde in 1964.
