Administrative / Biographical History

The post of Assistant Secretary (Finance) was created in 1975 in order to relieve the Secretary and Treasurer of all duties relating to financial matters. In 1995 the post was retitled Finance Officer. The Finance Officer is currently responsible for the regulation of the income and expenditure of the Glasgow School of Art and reports to the Director of Finances and Resources.

Most records which are over 30 years old are available for public consultation. Records which are less than 30 years old can be accessed with the permission of the head of the relevant department of the school.
