Scope and Content

1. Thomas Thomas of Manervabon, esquire, and Jane his wife.

2. Henry Thomas of Castlegorvod, clerk, and John Griffiths of Glankenen, Llandilofawr parish, gent¬leman.

RECITES LEASE AND RELEASE, dated 25 - 26 May 1750, made between i. the said Thomas, ii. the said Jane then described as Jane Evans of Glantowy, spinster. iii. James Evans, clerk, and John Evans, gentleman, both of the parish of St Peter’s, Carmarthen. iv. Thomas Williams of Edwlnsford and Thomas Morgan of Glantowy, esquires. v. William Kelley of town of Llandilovawr, gentleman, being the prenuptial settlement of i. and ii; her portion was £1000. By this present DEED the said Thomas Thomas agrees to convey and settle the following properties to the uses of the marriage and the heirs of the body — Tyr y Noyadd or Kellyn Llwyn otherwise called Lletty Howell ap Griffith, Tyr Penyblen, and Erw Evan Sais, and two parcells of land called Erw Carn Berore and Croft y gyvyr, and the messuage called Ty ar Tyr Wrth yr Heoll and Kae Newidd, and a parcell called Gwaine Gwynne, the messuage called Tyr y Ddefadfa and lands called Kefen y vedw vach (tenure of William David), the capital messuage called Tyr Klynn y Clawdd, the messuage on which a water corn grist mill formerly stood called Tyr y Velin, a messuage called Cwmllynan, all of which lie in the hamlet of Gwinvey, Llangadock parish, in as full a manner as same was purchased from Griffith Phillips esquire and Evan Phillips late of Pentre, gentleman, by the said Thomas Thomas: and also a cot and garden called Tyn yr heoll or Tyn Cwm LIanan part of the said Cwm Llanan, lately purchased from David Gwillim and Barbrah his wife, in the said hamlet of Gwinvey.
