Some leaves from the printed text are inserted, and there are other insertions as follows: Letters from Andrew Crawfurd to David Robertson, dated 31 July 1829, 6 May 1840, 5 Feb. 1841, and one undated (ca 1841) ; Printed slips: The wee tappit hen, The flour of Cochranslee, The Pomillan wyfe, The penitential cat, The marmaid's saw, A guess. In his letter of 31 July, 1829, Crawfurd says: "The printed illustration of some of them, I caused it to be printed here, for a few copies not for sale." ; The crune of the warlock of the Peil.
