Copy of a letter from William Motherwell to David Robertson, Nov. 28, 1833, recommending John Donald Carrick, editor of the Perth Advertiser, for the position of editor of a newspaper which was about to be started in Kilmarnock. This letter was printed in M'Conechy's Memoir of Motherwell, pp. liv-lvi. Apparently collected by P.A. Ramsay with the intention of writing a life of Motherwell and producing an enlarged edition of his poems
