Our Lady of Good Counsel, Dennistoun took just under two years to construct. It seats 560 and contains high and side altars, a baptistry, confessionals and priests' and boys sacristies. The shape of the church was derived from the need to utilise the entire buildable area of the site available between a steep bank at the rear, the building line at the front and the existing side boundary walls. Due to site levels the main entrance is at a lower level than the body of the church, which is reached by a flight of broad shallow steps revealing the space of the church gradually.

The altars, altar rails and font are granite, the cross is teak with a copper covered figure matching the stations of the cross and carved figures in the baptistry.

The material has been arranged using original Gillespie Kidd and Coia project reference codes.
