From William Thomson [Lord Kelvin]; asks Joule to visit, hopes Joule's experiments progressing well. Adds "you will scarcely recognise my 'laboratory' from your recollection of the one I was formerly forced to work in." Also refers to some "electric clocks controlled from the Observatory".
