Scope and Content

From William Scoresby, [1789-1857), explorer and scientist, and collaborator of Joule] refers to experiments he is conducting: "I find that by a new mode of sustaining the power of my magnets during the process of construction I can almost double the ultimate power". Hopes that Joule will be able to inspect it shortly.
