Transcripts for Aldborough, Bramham, Brotherton, Burton Leonard, Burton Pidsea, Copmanthorpe, Dunsforth, Helperthorpe, Hornby, Luttons Ambo, Weaverthorpe, Wharram le Street, and (in York city) Bedern, St John Ousebridge, St Lawrence, St Martin Coney Street, St Mary Bishophill Junior, St Maurice, St Michael le Belfrey, St Nicholas and St Sampson, to 1812, with many gaps in the sequence. 41 boxes. (Note: transcripts from 1813 onwards are in the general diocesan series, divided by rural deanery.     • Inventory of the treasures of the Minister [Pec.D/C.Ad/R.Inv]. 1516-1539. 1 bundle.

Administrative / Biographical History

Annual visits within the peculiar to observe the spiritual and moral welfare of the inhabitants produced voluminous administrative documents, most of which are concerned with the election and appointment of clergy and other officials to office.
