They have been asked to change from making soldiers' hair brushes to soldiers' button brushes at a rate of 5/6d. a gross; they need at least 7/6d. a gross and even then at this rate would probably earn less than before. One very experienced worker found she could earn only 1/6d. in twelve hours at the present rate. Rates far too low for experienced workers. Undated.
