The material contained within the files includes research notes compiled by Brinsley Ford and others involved in the publication of the Dictionary; copies of published material held in other archive and library respositories; as well as off-prints, articles and publications.
The material mostly relates to Italian artists, collections and contacts of British travellers in Italy. It also relates to foreign (non-British) travellers in Italy.
