Scope and Content

This series includes Ford's notes from: Lady C. Murray (1836). A journal of a tour in Italy. London, privately printed.

Lady Murray visited Italy in 1816, 1821 and 1833-36 and recorded many meetings with artists. Ford's notes relate to particular artists mentioned by Lady Murray in her diary.

The file also includes Ford's correspondence relating to particular artists.

Arrangement

The notes are arranged in alphabetical order, by the name of artist.
