Scope and Content

The files include various papers relating to the organisation of exhibitions including A.I.A, members and travelling exhibitions. The papers include correspondence, sending-in forms, records of admissions and sales, admittance and private view cards, lists of works, members and exhibitors, and advertising material.

Arrangement

The files have been arranged by earliest date of exhibition so they appear in the same order as the catalogues (TGA 7043/3). Travelling exhibitions appear at the end of each year, and from 1963 onwards a file of miscellaneous correspondence, which includes applications for exhibitions for the appropriate year, appears after the travelling exhibitions.
