Also engravings of Fanny Kemble from portrait by Sir Thomas Lawrence which she herself said was 'the best likest thing you can have of me'. Frances Power Cobb met Mrs Kemble about 1850 when she was no longer 'this lovely young woman but she was a splendid matron'. Fanny Kemble 1809-1893, Frances Anne daughter of Charles and niece of Mrs Siddons. Actress and writer. M. Pierce Butler of Philadelphia in 1834. Mrs Amelia Opie novelist and poet 1769-1853. Date of letter must be after 1884 when she moved to Hengwrt.
