University of Sussex

Special Collections at the University of Sussex was established as an integrated section of the University Library in September 2000. Summary information is now accessible through the Archives Hub for over 90 collections - not only our best known collections (the Rudyard Kipling archive, The Monks House and Leonard Woolf archives and the Mass Observation Archive) but also the less known collections. We are strong in early to mid-20th century social, political and cultural life and hold the papers of authors with local connections (Rudyard Kipling, Virginia Woolf).
