Administrative / Biographical History

By the 1930s statistics were beginning to show that increasingly large numbers of people were becoming disconnected with organised Christianity. The Diocesan Evangelistic Council was constituted in 1936 by the Archbishop to be the chief missionary agency to try to reverse this trend within the diocese. The Diocesan Evangelistic Council closed in 1972.
