Scope and Content

Sketches made by MBH when she visited the theatre as a spectator, taking her sketchbook with her to performances. Of particular note are those of performances of the Ballet Negres, the first black ballet company to perform in the UK. Some of the sketches are marked '1 gn', suggesting that MBH sketched them to sell to theatre visitors. Previously in MBH/file 29 and 30.
