Speculates on the engineering feats of pre-historic peoples and says how interested he was in articles in the "Edgar Allen News" about early ways of making steel. Is convinced that copper was not the first hard metal used but says that pre-historic races from the Mediterranean and India made steel so long ago that all traces would by now be dissolved away. Mentions being a member of a Field Club and previously an archaeological society. Refers to the 'secrets of Atlantis' and looks forward to their next meeting to enlarge upon the topic.
