Script: Naskh. Scribe: Abū al-Munā b. Nasīm al-Naqqāsh. Ink: Black ink, with rubricated headings and stops in red. Decoration: Title pages in red, gold, green, blue, black and purple on fols. 1v-2r; illustration of each of the evangelists preceding their gospels; gospel headings are lavishly decorated; there are numerous illuminations of events from the gospels throughout the codex in many colours (''from European and Indian (?) models,'' see Crum, Catalogue, 324 n.1); stamps and other figures in several colours occur frequently. Binding: British Museum binding. Condition: Good. Marginalia: Section numbers in Greek letters. Other: Folios in Greek letters.

(Fol. 241r blank). Tables of readings for the Coptic Church during the year, fols. 241v-249v. The colophon is found on fol. 230r. Here we read that the copy was copied by Abū al-Munā b. Nasīm al-Naqqāsh and that he added illustrations from European and Indian copies. He finished the copy in 1379 AM (1663 CE). The lengthy colophon is partly transcribed in Rieu, Supplement, 9.
