with staff standing on the platform. The Station Master, Mr Hobday, stands extreme right. Two to his left is William Griffiths, station porter, great grandfather of the donor, and extreme left are William Owen Griffiths, grandfather of the donor and Robert John, his older brother. At that time the Griffiths family lived in the adjoining railway premises, a terrace of four cottages which had allotments opposite. William Griffithsalso worked at Ffestiniog and Dolwyddelan Railway Stations, whilst his father, Robert Griffiths, had been a platelayer working on laying the Conwy Valley railway line.
