Scope and Content

Programmes and Brochure were collected primarily by Gordon Sneddon, some were given to him by Pee Wee Russell. Most did not perform for the Dundee Jazz Club but more likely were events that Sneddon either wanted to or had attended.

Administrative / Biographical History

The club existed from 1955 and was formally discontinued in 1965, though it had effectively stopped most of its activites in 1962. The American jazz musician Pee Wee Russell (1906-1969) accepted an invitation to become honorary President of the Dundee Jazz Club in 1959.
